Artist Statement
This work attempts to visualize emotions that are often felt but never seen. I am concerned with the intimate and immediate relationships between people and environments. Longing and detachment are recurring themes that contaminate seemingly peaceful memories. The manipulation of these images is an unconventional approach to narrative that is more visceral than explanatory. My goal is to translate these unseen feelings as accurately as possible into something visible, and to directly resonate something between the work and the viewer.
